I don't think they worry about power , dont forget the Mclaren's engine is a BMW ///M engine (612 HP N/A) , and how about the biiiig phantom that goes to 60 in 5.5 sec ? it weighs atleast more than 5000 lbs

Well....not everybody wants a turbo. There are advantages to getting HP and torque out of N/A engines if possible....even if it means smewhat larger displacement. Though most recent turbos are cooled by engine coolant, turbos still add heat which if unchecked can cook non-synthetic oil; they are not particularly durable; they spin at insane RPM's when spooled up, they require complex plumbing, wastegates, intercoolers, etc.....they often don't last the life of the engine; the very mention of the word " turbo " can drive up insurance premiums, and other negative factors as well. With a turbo, you usually have to warm the engine up very slowly to keep the turbo RPM down with a cold engine. Then, when the engine is hot and you want to shut if off, you have to idle it a minute or two first to let the turbo RPM's come down, because if you shut the engine off immediately, the still rapidly-spinning turbo ( with zero engine oil pressure ) gets dino oil so hot it can carbonize and fry the turbo bearings.

So...yes, turbos help HP and torque on many engines...espcially smaller ones......but they have disadvantages as well.

Well, sure, but the fact that Lexus would be branching out to different areas, dominating another aspect of car manufacturing, would be news to any Lexus-phile's ears. That's more of what I meant.

Ohh I hear ya' and concur on the matter, it's just BMW is good enough with creating High HPs' with N/A engines, all I am saying is they really don't need the Turbo action.
