Not sure why this replaces the NEON. They have just GIVEN UP on cars.

And if I see ONE MORE non-sporty car with circular tailights, I WILL SCREAM!!!

Do you mean Chrysler has given up on cars?
They're the only US automaker making a bunch of good cars right now - popular ones no less.

Also, the tailights are rectangular. It's just the trend right now to integrate circular lenses
within various shaped tailights/headlights.
