Quote: BMW makes image cars that perform well or VERY well, but aren't designed to take the rigors of hard driving it seems. That's where Porsche comes in, as you know.
When you build such a heavy car being pushed so hard drivetrain bits are bound to fail. Of course BMW has never taken reliability seriously in the first place.

Yeah I'd rather own a 911 Carrera, however there is no point in denying what an awesome machine the new M5 is. And unlike Porsche BMW implemented advanced materials to control its weight.

If you want endurance buy a Porsche.

You know what the stig puts those through? It's a Sedan, push it that hard and it'll break.

If it can't take it, why build it? I guess so people can buy one and say "hey look at me, I'm special."

Can't wait to see the coming 4 door Porsche sedan eat its lunch.
