drinking and driving is cool
Story goes something like: Drunk guy doing 75 hits curb, jumps curb, ends up in the garage of a body shop owner (wonder if he gets a discount?).

Poor Ferrari. Minding its own business and a ford comes landing on top of it. I also wonder if the F150 owner has insurance? If he does he soon wont and will probably have a hard time getting new insurance

Anyhow, the accident............here is a good case, IMO, for a PERMANENTLY revoked license, with the stipulation of a LONG jail term if caught driving later on without one. Some people deserve a second chance...not this one.
( Assuming, of course, that he WAS drunk or stoned and caused the accident through negligence, and that the truck did not crash because of a stuck-open throttle or other defect...if so, that might be Ford's fault. ).

What that modena guy needs to do is find a nice empty lot, gas can, lighter, and rope.......
US laws are simply to forgiving for in this case its damn difficult for the modena guy get out of this one clean not withouth him having to make a claim with his OWN insurance company. The other idiot's insurance might give him the 10-30k limit if his insurance does decide to cover for him. But then the dui moron could file bankruptcy in a way to avoid paying the rest of the tab.
The only other way the Ferrari guy could get it fixed withouth making a claim his own insurance company provided the other guy's limit is at 30k, Is for him to act as his own contractor, he obtains the parts at cost or used, (Very difficult in this case.) He finds the skilled individual for the total labor done in a set price rather then in a hourly rate like most shops, also hard..
EDIT: Guy is a body shop owner? Well at least that takes care of the labor part only cost of parts and paint, IM sure he has access to more places then we would so Im sure hell get out of this one.

He will probably have to use the insurance check as a down payment on a new one....a common occurance.

If that was my Ferrari, and it was a clean, unmolested, unrepaired car, I would insist that it be totalled. Why should I get stuck with a bastard, repainted, salveage-titled car just because some drunk idiot decided to park his POS F150 on top of it.
That car is a goner.
I'm with mmarshall- this guy should do some time. What if a person had been in that shop working late? In my opinion, drunk driving laws aren't harsh enough. In my world: first DUI: forfeit your car, 30 days in the slammer, huge fines, no license for two years. Second DUI: 18 month in the clink, $50,000 fine, loss of license permanently. Third offense: Firing squad.
