anyone remember this Bad boy? 1988 twincharged MR2. till this day, i still give that car mad props. 1/4 time is low 11's. This was done back in 1996. What import car ran 11's back then. not many if any at all. I was there when the rx7 raced mr2. Mr2 put the rotary to shame.

I love those first gen MR2's. They are so light and make an excellent platfom.

The MK1 (AW11) MR2's came with only the 4AGE pushing 112hp/lb ft. from 1985-1987 in the US.
The supercharged 4AGZE came out in Japan in 1986 pushing around 150hp/lb ft., but the US didnt get it until 1988, and it had 145hp/lb. ft.

also, HKS offered that twin charged kit, and is no longer in production...

My bro just picked up a first gen mr2 and those cars are so fun to drie. Surprisingly, the mki mr2 are much roomier than my S2000. More leg room and head room than my s2k!!

STR8-UP-G,

Is that the MR2 that used to sit in Toysport? Back when, they had a twincharged MR2 and an '85-'86 turbo convertible Celica GT-S sitting in their shop.

I dont know if it was at Toysport. I know that it used to belong to my neighbor Gerald from Cyber Racing. He later sold it to some guy Ken. I dont know the where abouts of the car now. I had the oportunity to ride in that car and let me tell u, that car is pure acceleration, the only time the car stops pulling is when you shift gears. It literally has no lag and is freaking fast, not to mention very clean as well. the set up is practically flawless. i do not know of any other first generation mr2 that can compare. There are several twincharged toyotas out there, but none of them can match this white one.
