The headlights are the ONLY thing that appeal to me for this car.

The wheel arches are disgustingly ugly. The interior leaves a lot to be desired and that rear end is hideous.

Huge

7 inside Focus out... what a disaster... This is a sad day for all MB fans.

a stretched Focus! Amazing how much the interior resembles the 7's.

Benz is going to suffer from this one.

Yep - my thoughts exactly - the design of the wheel arches remind me of both the Focus and the new Kia Spectra. Not appealing at all.

And the interior smells a whole lot like the 7-series'.

the grill looks to me like one of those people who put MB grills <either OEM or 'custom made' > on non MB cars

Exterior is nice evolution of S class but interior is pure copy of BMW, which is an large step backwards... Awful!!!

WOW...............What a disappointing design for both the interior/exterior.
Since when did MB start copying other car's designs??.........Very sad.

The current S-class and CL are gorgeuos cars. This is the first car design from MB that i really dont like. Hopefully it will look better in person.

Wow...how could they do such a thing. Every MB car is just beautiful as of now...then they had to go and do this. Not to mention that the S350 will probably be close to $70k AND be ugly.

No gear shifter visible, probably on stalk ( )

Wide body look continues on to door, bet on horrible fitment if any body panel needs replacement.

BMW interior with goofy bulges and creases

iDrive-like controls (Lexus and Infinit are now the only ones not to have something like it)

Bangled trunk lid that just appears to be "sitting" on the rear end

And personally, my favorite aspect, is that the MOTHER***********G fender flares don't even line up front and rear!

I agree with just about all of the responses so far. The S-Class has gotten to the point where it is good for safety and little else. (And with I-Drive-type controls, I'm not even sure about that anymore)

I have allot respect for Mercedes in other ways with certain models. Looking fwd to this new S-Class and now seeing real pics of its' new release.....well going into the 21st Century I was exepecting a little more than a KIA Spectra on steroids for its' so called "Flagship", with a touch of boot-legged designs of a Rear end Maybach, Bimmer 7 series interior, IS350 headlights and a grill, custom made by the 3 Blind-Mice....Mercedes definitley "S#!T the BED!" on this one for originality and innovations. But like I always say, "pics do not do justice" I just hope in real life it's another story....and a good one for that matter. Lexus at this point really have nothing to worry about, who knows they are probably smiling from ear to ear. after seeing the S-Class release.
