S-Class headlights upside down? And why is the rear gate left ajar in the 2nd pic?

The chrome grille does give the car a slightly more upscale look.

I will always be amazed at how Chrysler sold any of these... it's a crummy Neon (right down to the lousy 'traction beam' rear suspension!) except without any room behind the rear seats. A perfect vehicle for divorced ladies with lots of pets... (sorry if I offend!)

It's a perfect "MLC" vehicle... Mid-Life Crisis !! (a very different demographic from what Scion has).
That's fine, I guess, but it seems like a strange mid-life crisis to strive for.
My MLC vehicle will likely be a Ferrari 600 Imola (an F355 Berlinetta will have to do until then).

What is strange, however, is that, unlike the Neon on which this car is based, the PT Cruiser is RELIABLE....one of the best records in Consumer Reports' database for a domestic-nameplate car. The Neon won't cross the street without breaking down. Unfortunately....I don't have the answer for that, except maybe being built in different plants.

Some of us may not like the way it looks, but it has unique retro styling, & it's a practical space-efficient car, I'm not surprised at all it sold well.

The facelift does not make it look look much better.

A very macho co-worker of mine bought one as a family car. He loves the practicality of it. Nothing really wrong with that.
