most likely just smog it depending on age. if its unmodified from stock you shouldnt have much of a problem. your local DMV and/or AAA should be able to help you with the paperwork in a jif.

you have to go to dmv, and from my understanding you have to get the car to chp to get it inspected as well. this was 4 yrs ago, i don't know about now
and yes if the car is stock it should be ok, modded, then it's more hectic
