Black, while not necessarily the best-looking, would be the most sensible color for not showing the black brake dust.

My uncle painted mine black on my RX almost 4 years ago with some left over paint we had for painting the underside panels. It has held up, but we are definitely thinking about switching over to silver.

I think it really depends on your exterior color.
