Heres a shot of the interior. believe it or not, but im going to be installing a stereo system in this car. the stock is horrible. so he asked me to perform my fiberglass skills and form a sub and do some other minor stereo work.

Fiberglass sub where?? I didnt know you can fit such thing in an Elise. If I didnt know any better I probably would have doubted this car having a stereo all together. Anyway, this car is awsome and I would own one in a second if I was on the market for such a cool car.

Im going to put a sub in the footwell area of the passenger side. people rest their feet on the metal support so the box will be behind it. and fiberglassed to gain the most amount of air possible. this shot shows the area from the side

That blue is nice. A friend of mine has an orange one. Feels like a go kart when you sit in it. The seats are like an inch apart and your like 2 inches off the ground.. lol

Yes...this car turns in amazing performance and skidpad figures for its small Celica-derived in-line 4, primarily due to its ultra-light weight....some 1700-1800 lbs. before options. One of the auto-test mags.......I believe Car and Driver......clocked 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and 1.06 G on the skidpad.
This was Lotus founder Colin Chapman's great philosophy and obsession...cutting weight everywhere......both in their street and racing cars. It is one of the main reasons why Lotus won so many F1 and Grand Prix races in the company's prime. However, as with many light-weight sports cars, there are trade-offs, especially in ride comfort. You do NOT want to hit a pothole in this car.....trust me. Not only will you get a heck of a jolt, but those lightweight suspension and steering pieces underneath can bend easily.

Though this would not be the car of choice for me....for many reasons......your friend ( and your friend, too, got trd ), was very lucky to get one. Only a few thousand are being imported this year....with waiting lines, large deposits, and price mark-ups.
