Russian "Pobeda" rebuilt in 2005
A friend of mine who lives in Minsk, Belarus sent me this link
http://www.russiantampa.com/fun/index.php?fid=206
to show how they rebuilt the russian "Pobeda" in 2005. I guess this car was built in 2005 by a bunch of Russian rich guys but I don't know if they will actually be producing this car. Up top, the black and white picture shows the old school "Pobeda" when they were producing them from 1946 - 1958. My grandfather bought one of these back in the day for 20,000 rubles which at that time a ruble was worth more then a dollar. Of course this was back in the Soviet cold war days. Kinda crazy. I thinks its a pretty cool car. Just thought I'd share with you guys. Enjoy

Very nice! Elements of early '50's Hudson in front with elements of Chrysler and Rolls progressing to the rear. Nice blend of styles, both inside and out. A really nice looking big retro-cruiser. Thanks for the link!

I think it looks awesome! I really like how they did the HMSL, very unique. And I do agree with the comment made about the glaring similarity of the taillights to those on an FX (although I don't think it's a bad thing).

Im russian too Actually you might be wrong about this car.
The Pobeda in this pictures seems to be done on the chassis of W140 ( or 210 but i doubt it since the car looks huge ) look on the central console and doors. Seems like an old CL to me.
I think you are talking about this car :
Kinda a retro Volga on chassis of 850 CSI.
