BMW M Coupe or C5 Vette
C5's my choice. There's a lot of performance mods you can do to the vett to let it run with the best.
Check out the corvetteforum.com and you'll see what I mean. The only downside to the c5 is the cheap looking interior but the engine and exterior make up for that

Dex (former moderator on CL) sold his GS400 and bought an M Coupe a couple of years ago. Of course he's modded the snot out of it just like he did his GS... IMO mean looking from some angles, from others it looks like a Z3 humped an AMC Pacer.
He loves it, but I'm honestly not such a fan of the looks. Too small for me as well... definitely a love it or don't car.

Didn't someone have a (yellow?) M coupe that had an electrical problem and their was a painful picture of the interior gutted and wires strewn all about? Maybe it was an M roadster...anyone?

More likely a roadster....there were very few yellow M Coupes made. The few I've seen were a rather pale yellow...not the bright yellow like my IS300.
One of my closest friends has a bright red 2000 M Coupe....a car I helped him find. You have to look for these cars....they are not exactly a dime a dozen in the ads. We lucked out on this one...it was available at a local Chevy dealership after a trade-in ............can you believe........on a SUBURBAN?

Thats when you tell the wife where she can kiss it! (assuming guy trading it in, bought the car as a mid life crisis and the wife moaned about it till he gave in.) Haha thinking like a young single guy again though. Still I feel for that soul, a M coupe for a suburban.....
Me personally seeing how I am a track oriented person, As much as I like the M coupe, Id get the vette, just simply because itd be a much easier car to find/ replace if a misshap were to occur on the track.
As well as it seems that the vette would seem to be a car that could get more bang for your buck when it comes to mods.
Now if time and money wasnt as big of an issue and youd be sastified with bolt ons and suspension mods only Id get the M Coupe. I like the M coupe better but I just find the corvette the more practical weekend racer.
I guess the C5 is the favorite choice. One of my father's friend is selling his 98 C5 in about a month because he's picking up a new C6. He told me that he'll sell it to me for a good price, I hope. I asked an insurance quote for a 1993 NSX that I test drove and my agent told me about $350/month. You guys are right that the aluminum body of the NSX makes the insurance expensive and they put the NSX in the exotic class. I will definitely post pics of the car that I'll get. Thanks for the response guys.
well, considering im a BMW guy now my opinion may be bias. Honestly, the M3's are incredible; the handling, shape, speed, and espically the famous"ohh, is that an M3?". I know when i see one, im like sweet car and i own a 7. INfact, i may spurge and go for the MMMMMMM6 baby...
