Porsche needs to be very careful on how the market this car. This car could cause Porsche some serious damage to the 911 marque because the mid-engine design wil make this car faster than a standard Carrerra.

Overall..it is looking very good!

Which is why Porsche is reportedly going to price it more then a base Carrera. If you were hoping like I was that a new hardtop boxster was going to be less expensive then the convertable then you will be dissapointed. I think the Cayman is supposed to get a huge bump in horsepower over the boxster to like 295hp so Porsche can charge such a high price and it will most likely outperform the base 911. I still hold out hope for a standard hardtop boxster that is less expensive then the convertable and outperforms it since I am not a fan of convertables. Much rather have a 911 though as I have always considered the boxster a 6/10 911 then a entirely different model.

Pricing from what I heard which I agree with is higher than a boxster s and lower than a carrera...the cayman will not be a marquee car....YET

It's about time they put the 911 down. The values will skyrocket on them.

The prices and specs I've heard were about 290 HP and about $90K US dollars. I'm definately okay with that, but talk is this is the European NSX which is also currently 290 HP and about $89K MSRP. Also, I like this car. I'm a big mid engine fan so this is definately a plus too me over the 911.

The car looks good.
I agree with it being a danger to the 911 though.

So? The 911 is overpriced as it is....both sales and service. If this car can offer virtually as much for less money, more power to it.

So is it going to start at mid $50,000? Still way too expensive for me.
