Ok, interesting. Can anyone explain what actually happened here?
Even after seeing this I'm not afriad to invest in Nitrous..something tells me this system wasn't installed properly or was leaking. I honestly think I could install and setup a kit myself, but I'd rather practice on an old beater..
Any experienced Nitrous people here have any ideas?

Explosion was probably a result of nitrous pooling in the intake. Could be from improper install or clogging jets or a few other things. Hard to say without seeing the actual intake.
wow...looks like a nitrous or fuel leak...most likely fuel leak....since nitrous by itself is not flammable....you can see the vapor cloud near the throttle body when the nitrous kicks in...or maybe it was just a fuel leak
