something looked funny about it ....it was just too darn tall to be a Mb......the stance wasn't quite there

this was from probably 30 feet away so I decided to take a closer look

Why is it a wannabe? All he did is put wheels on it. I still see the mercury emblems. No Benz symbol so whats the problem. The guy couldnt afford a nice car so he got an ok one for the money and put wheels on it. I dont see a problem with that.

 

I'm with him. I'd buy a Montego LONG before I would an S-Class. Better potential reliability, (though the Ford / Mercury CVT is a question mark), AWD availability for about 1/3 of the price, and much less arrogant salespeople and dealerships.

 

I was thinking the same thing too, other than the CL rear end lookalike, where's the S-class look?
