What they are saying is, you can basically get from the ground up Bentley GT or Aston Martin or Ferrari for that price.
they have a good point about the sl65. personally i don't justify the cost of that car too. sl55 is no problem, but sl65, man for that price i would go with ferrari f430 with a bit more, or just the 360. yes teh sl65 is stupid fast, but it's also very expensive

S350 - starting price $65,620.00
Net Power 241 hp @ 5,800 rpm
Net Torque 258 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm

S430 - starting price $77,970.00
Net Power 275 hp @ 5,750 rpm
Net Torque 295 lb-ft @ 3,000 - 4,400 rpm

$12,350.00 less for the 350
34 less hp
37 less tq

I think they should have just lowered the price on the 430, the 430 is slow so now the car is even slower, anyone I know driving a Benz usually gets 10-15k off the price so why the 350

Maybe they will offer a smaller V6 in the E-Class along with a 4cylinder Kompressor model

Maybe he got a good discount Did he get the AMG sports package when you mean every option? That alone is about $6K if I remember correctly & the base price of the S500 4matic is in the mid $80K I think.

This is the worst move I have ever heard of.

Who would buy a weak MB over a Lexus with a lot more power and more technology?

The S500 doens't have enough power, I can't even imagine this.

Good discount but no he has a normal S500 4matic, he skipped on the AMG package, they are not selling for what you think, I know plenty of people, family and friends who bought MB models with 5k to 25k off the price, I know a guy who got his S55 for under 100k and another guy who has a silver S55 bought it for under 100k.

MB cars are way overpriced, ask anyone who buys a MB, if it's not a brand new or hot model like the CLS then you can get a good deal on it.

Maybe it's the area Im in but even my neighbors S430 regular whatever was around 70k and he has tons of options and my other neighbors E430 bought 2 years before the new EClass came out she got the car for just above 40k, my aunt has the same E430 paid over 40k.

My uncles 7 Series, car went for 90 something he drove away with a brand new 740 for 70k
