Since AISIN is Toyota Group company, it is easy to conclude that when you buy Panamera Hybrid or Diesel, you buy Aisin transmision and part of that profit goes to building of Camry.
Whats wrong with that? Porsche is great company, constantly topping reliability charts (unlike other German premium manufacturers) and obviously deserves the best.
No need to get your feelings hurt.
Next year when Porsche become a company of VW Group, we can say the same way that Porsche is a VW, but it is not. The profit of Porsche next year contributes to VW Group, but a Porsche is still a Porsche and implement its own quality management system.
A Lexus is a Toyota but a Porsche or an Audi is not a VW. Audi's Quattro AWD is better than VW's 4Motion AWD.

Yes... Do you know why is Quattro better? It uses TORSEN.

So wait a minute, a Lexus is a Toyota but a Porsche or Audi is not a VW. I think at this point you clearly are here to troll as that is preposterous. Not sure what your angle here is when we have a giant thread PRAISING Porsche.
Do you even know Porsche's history or Audi's? Shall I produce their VW rebadges? Audi is mostly FWD anyway down to the A8, just like VWs, they just add AWD when possible. Its not fair at all to say a Lexus is Toyota and act like the Germans don't share at all. Shall I bring up SEAT, Skoda etc? Lamborghini uses Audi engines, etc etc.
Maybe you need to read up on Porsche and Audi's future product line b/c its even closer with VW than in the past.

Let me also remind you that when Porsche almost went out of business who did they call for a new quality management system? They called Toyota and asked engineers to show them their production method and their Kaizen methodology.
Look everyone here knows I love Porsche and am a huge fan of Audi but if you are here to crap on Lexus/Toyota with some biased opinion of matters well we are going to have a problem.

I don't want to praise any company. Porsche is the most profitable partly because it is a small company. If it grows to the size of BMW, Mercedes or Audi (i.e 1 million units/year), it may face quality issues.
Porsche is not the only company that need help from other companies. In the past, when Nissan was on the brink of bankcruptcy, Carlos Ghosn of Renault revived Nissan to become profitable- a mission impossible. His achievements in revitalizing Nissan were noted by Japanese Government, which awarded him the Japan Medal with Blue Ribbon in 2004.

Sorry, Porsche is profitable b/c it damn near was a hedge fund masking itself as an auto company. Then they sell cars that share parts keeping costs to a minimum then charge high prices that the market feels is appropriate. Porsche's plan if you haven't read is to increase volume. While Porsche will never be high volume like VW, Audi etc they plan to DOUBLE sales by 2018 to 200k units. http://www.pmletter.com/blog/2011/02...s-growth-plan/
Not sure why Nissan has to do with this and you left out the most important piece of info, it was saved/bought by Renault. Ghosn's record is mixed, saving Nissan intially by cutting costs and chasing expansion while Renault is struggling and he just had an embarrassing espionage issue where his 2nd in command is no longer with the company and the stock is stale.
Can we all just talk about the Panamera please? Thanks.
Here's a really good video by a salesman at Hendrick's Porsche for those of you that haven't been in one or seen the features. This one is missing a few of the goodies that I would want like the 14 or 18 way seats, seat ventilation and sport chrono package.
