Default Car Donation

Have any of you donated a car to charity before? I'm going to donate a car. There are so many places to donate to. Any reccomendations?

a lot of time, you can just donate them to salvation army or so. i have searched it before, as long as the car is drivable they all want it

In Hawaii, the National Kidney Foundation advertises a lot for the donation of cars.

Henry's right......the Salvation Army is a great organization and deserves it.
Also a good and worthy possibility is donating it to a automotive trade school. Cars donated to these type of schools often qualify for tax deductions just like charities and the car dies a worthy death helping to train new interns on how to work on yesterday's older, simpler cars and take them apart so they can move up to today's....and tomorrow's......more complex and demanding vehicles and become ASE-certified or factory-trained technicians.
