Yes, many AWD problems can be traced to uneven tires and wheels.

Carlsson.....make sure that when you DO get your new rubber that the guys in the shop, when they re-mount the wheels, torque all the lug nuts evenly and no more than the factory figures....which can vary anywhere from 65 to 85 ft.-lbs. A hand-held torque wrench is usually the best way to do this. The correct torque figure can usually be found in the Owners' or Shop Manual.
