I also am a fan of E39. We all know I'm a staunch coupe guy but E39 is one of the very few sedans I'd use as a daily driver. I don't care that the style has changed, E39 looks way better than E60. Both sets of wheels look nice but to me, the silver wheels look much better. I believe wheels are meant to be shiny. WHy spend all this money just to have them disappear....but this is just my opinion.

LOL good one Reggie! They cost more for that "now you see 'em, now you dont" finish!!!
Seriously though I used to feel the same way about dark hued wheels, but after seeing few nicely modded cars with them I really started to like them. Synergy's gunmetal Dronells, a few BMW's, a white audi with gunmetal wheels, even a red 330 droptop with gunmetal. I can say one thing, at this point I think I like gunmetal better than flat black.
Hey D2,
Thanks for the pics.....a buddy of mine just picked up a 97 540 6 Speed....and I think he'll want it to look like the one you pictured....thanks
Gamma, that black one is sick too....I'll have one of these E39's in my garage someday.....LoL
