Not really a surprise, but just FYI, it's APEAL. Those who don't know it's not referring to the brand's "appeal", it stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout. Lexus has cleaned up pretty well in this area. It shows they have a great balance of the important traits, and that's what really counts, not a shodilly built 6xxhp luxury coupe.

Good for Lexus.
But... how can LS430 lose to the 7-series!!
And Toyota (and Scion) seems to be on a constant slip these days. Down to right in the middle of the bunch, even lower than VW!? What gives? Wake up Toyota!!

BTW, interesting how the Boxster is ranked above the 911...given how much people like to attack its not being a true Porsche.

Sexy, don't think I'm trying to teach you or anything, just stating for the folks. Hope you didn't take it wrong.
Toyota/Lexus really kicked butt in all those tests, man even if Toyota's slipping, some type of Toyota product shows up on almost every possible segment. Way to go.

One of the most interesting things about that list is now Kia, as a brand, ranks well below the industry average, yet several individual Kia products all rank in the top three of each vehicle category. Same with Hyundai...as a brand it ranks right the middle....182...the industry average.....yet individual Hyundai products, like Kia, rank in the top three in vehicle segments.
