05 mustang interior
The interior is nice and is a big improvement over the current mustang imo.
They really messed up the exterior though and made it look cheap........ compared to the concept version it looks ugly.
Still for the $$$$$$$ it delivers unbelievable performance. The GT with AT does 0-60 in 5.1 sec for around 25k.

The interior has lots of visual references back to my old '67 Mustang, not all of them successful. The exterior takes its cues from the first gen fastback. When it was introduced, the fastback was not considered attractive, the "notchback" version, designed to look like a convertible, was thought to be the better looking (if more conventional) of the two. That fastback always looked bloated to me. Only when the Shelby shop, in collusion with Ford, worked its magic on the GT350, did the fastback gain wide public acceptance - after Shelby established its racing credentials.
By '69, and on into the early 70's the car lost its "sports car" image, becoming more a proto-disco era cruiser, edging more toward the contemporary Thunderbird in concept. Most of the changes were done to better accommodate the 390 (and 428) CID engine as performance of the 289 was compromised by emission controls. The end came in 1974 with the introduction of the unlovely and unloved Mustang II.
I'll not make a judgment based on pictures but rather wait until I see one on the street. I can't help but think this '05 design was penned by the same folks that thought up the new T-bird. Going for the nostalgia market isn't necessarily a guarantee of success. I prefer the new "Judge" GTO - a more successful blend of current design and nostalgia.
