Default Chrysler SRT-6

We all know how well the 300 series Chryslers are doing. However, I have only seen about 5 Crossfires driving around, and would like to hear what you all have to say about them. They are powerful, and have a proven 3.2L supercharged V6 made by Mercedes Benz, along with a brand new exterior shape, called "dandy dressed" by Car and Driver.

0-60 in 5.1 sec
1/4 mile in 13.5@107
0.90 g on the skidpad
Pricing starts at $45,695

A common gripe...only an automatic transmission available.

Have at it everyone.

James

I don't mind the looks but that just seems too much to pay for a Chrysler product.

I don't have any problems with Chrysler ...

As a brand, they are steadily improving.

But this particular vehicle does nothing for me whatsoever.

So, $45K would be to much to pay for a Dodge Viper?

I got to test drive it at a dealership meet that we have every year. Problems that i think it has is the fact that it has no room. Im about 6'1 and felt so cramped and uncomfortable. The seat can barely move, didnt like that at all, felt to upright. Another thing that i didnt like is rearward visibility. Its horrible. It felt like tunnel vision. You just cant get a good panoramic view of the road. And let me not talk about rearward visiblity with that 3 foot window. You cant even see the headlights of cars behind you. But besides all of that, i guess the styling is to edgy for most. It performed as expected and a heck load of fun to take around some corners. I think its a well over looked model. Didnt they introduce a lower priced model also? I think it starts around 28K?

Yes I did see the Top Gear vid on the Crossfire, and I was expecting some replies about it. I know some people think that this car looks good. For those who think it looks good, and can deal with the closed quarters, I think it could be a contender for the 350Z/G35 (Personally I would never even look twice making that choice...gimme the Nissan products).

Before the options, the 300C SRT-8 is about $40k, and I could see myself in one for sure. My problem isn't paying too much for the company name, it's the fact I'm paying too much for a car that serves no purpose for ME.

Oh, I agree, it does look like it's dropping a number 2.

Why buy the 8 year old SLK chassis when the new one is out? Just buy the SLK. I have seen a few in person and they do attract attention and yes, they look like some big *** dog taking a big *** dump
