Seeing as a fully loaded 545i with SMG and Sport Package is already above $70K, I believe, this beast will probably be around $90 (at the least that was the estimate I've seen tossed around). 7 speed SMG = wow I'm guessing an M6 coupe with the same powertrain will follow shortly behind.
As for the next gen M3, the new 3-Series sedan will come out as a 2006 under the designation E90. The coupe tends to be on a slight lag from the sedan, and BMW tends to wait a couple years after a new body style to come out with a Motorsport version. Luckily BMW seems to have abandoned the desire to call it the M4 (they wanted to make all the coupes 4-Series), and stick with the legendary M3 badge.
The prices are approximating close to 130K...Now I'm really curious to see what the M6 has to offer...in addition, I've heard rumors the new M3s will be sporting V8s only. Do you guys know if this is the same V10 used in the McLaren supercars? That is a mad car!
i agree... the current 5 series is just ewww.... but boy oh boy if i had the money... i'd rather just take the engine and tranny and drop that into my SC.... *drools* boy would that surprise a lotta ppl...
? ? ? The jury's still out on this one. Fast or not, Agile or not...........to use the word "Awesome" to describe a Chris Bangle product, you've got a LOT of selling to do.
The last M5 is an awesome sports sedan, this new one can only be better in terms of handling & performance. Regardless of Bangle's exterior & interior designs(which some people actually like), this will most definately be an awesome car with it's engine & driving dynamics alone.
This is a limited production car desired by many & they will sell everyone they can make easy.

This car is a beast, but as I've always said, not a fan of Bangle's styling at all. Even if I had that much money to spend, I'd need to be totally happy with whatever I picked. This is just me, some might love the styling. I couldn't ever sleep if I spent over 100 grand and had regrets. I so want to hear the engine roar though, a big displacement engine revving over 8,000 RPM...ridiculous.
On a side note, I think BMW is gonna stick with the 3 and 4 series names. Car and Driver mentioned it in the latest issue at least twice. I figure they know better than me, but if you have some inside info, please share!
