Question $10,000 for 30000 miles?

Looking for some pre-owned LS430 and found two i really like.
Black with Nav/ML 61,000 miles, $33,000
White with Nav/ML 31,000 miles, $43,000

I'm leaning toward the white LS, do u guys think it's worth it? Pay $10,000 more in return of a lower milege LS430?

if you plan to keep the car for a while, get the one with lower mileage

Ok - so I'd probably get the 60k mile car - trash the stock wheels ('01 wheels were hideous) and put a nice 18 inch wheel/tire package on it.

Of course - if it's just a luxurious, quiet, reliable ride you're looking for - go for the car with lower miles and live with the wheels and otherwise bland exterior (if the money is an issue).

That 4.3 liter V8 ought to be good for over 150,000 miles properly maintained.

That's probably what I'd do in either situation.

A REALLY tough choice ........no wonder you asked us for our opinions on this one.

I'd go ( narrowly ) with the white one with the lower mileage. You don't necessarily have to pay 10K more if the owner or dealer is willing to bargain. I'd also rather have a white car than a black one any day...especially if it is the beautiful oyster white pearl that other Lexus products have. I notice you are from California...a state that gets some fierce summer sun. The white will stay cooler.

Or.....another valid choice.....you could take the roughly 30-40K you are going to spend and get something brand-new but cheaper .

61,000 miles on a lexus is nothing. i'd go for that and pocket the difference.

I'd say look at the conditions of the interiors.. see the seats and the leather.

If you DO opt for the black one with 61K, see if it will need a timing belt.....I don't remember if the 4.3L V8 uses one or not. Usually, if so, they need replacement anywhere from 60,000-90,000 miles.

Everything else being equal, I'd say 30000 lower mi on a Lexus isn't worth the whopping $10k.
