Yep. It was going to be 2 series for all coupes, 3 series for all sedans, and 4 series for all convertibles or something wacky like that. BMW would then have 1-7 series But they scrapped it, and now all the 3 series now will remain 3 series.

yeah, if toyota sticks to its badging titles, then it would be. the 2000gt back in the day, the 3000gt with the supra and now the 5000gt. its supposed to have a 5.0 v10 but also cost in the area of $120k. The article said we will never see it on our shores, but it wouldnt suprise me to see it as the replacement supra just junked out for us spec.
