Default GM stated the 2005 Corvette Top speed 186 MPH

http://69.39.84.240/forums/forumdisp...s=&forumid=139

0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds.

1/4 mile 12.6 @ 115mph

Top speed 186 MPH!

That is very impresive. The Z06 will only extend this.

I would be happy with a C6 slushbox that goes from 0-60mph in 4.5 sec.

Crap that's pretty fast. I can actually watch a F355 driver breaking his arm shifting that 6 speed gearbox while I walk on him with fries in my hand in a drag race.

Well, the jury's still out, but if true, it's about time. They've been essentially loosely-built rattletraps for years.......albeit fast ones.

The C6 will be a great performer. With the NAV, HIDs, and creature comforts like traction control, etc, the base model will be good all around. The Z06 will be more performance oriented with about 500hp, but in a few more years, word is, the Blue Devil, a Super Vette will be out with near 600hp NA, carbon fiber body panels, aluminum frame, all costing around $100,000. That'll be a ringer giving the Ford GT a run. Hopefully all will be true...I love Vettes.

I wonder if there'll be a C6R. I hear that the C5R is doing great in making a name for itself.

Also I can't wait until Lingenfelter puts in a 427 Twin Turbo into that C6.

The new vs. old picture is truly a beauty.

I think the new one has FAR more prescence on the road though.
