What is the first thing you look at a car?
It's interesting that we all have varied perceptions when it comes to the way we view our cars and other ones as well. Just wanted to throw out this poll and see how our thoughts are gauged when we take a first look at any car (stock or modified), whether it's at a dealership lot or a mall parking lot or elsewhere.
I'll start off and mention that I usually look and recognize the car's paint color. There are so many different kinds of body colors out there, and what really catches my attention are black (of course ), and "rare" colors like green and red.

I voted color too, followed closely by head/taillights & wheels, but I would have voted for overall design if you had included that in your poll. To me, how well the different parts of the car work together is more important than the individual parts.

I'll second you on the paint color...that is usually the first thing I notice too.
The problem is that too many cars today have the same "me-too" colors....look through most sales brochures and you will find pretty much the same stuff....silver / metallic gray, white, black, maroon, dark blue, dark green, and maybe a couple of light metallic beiges or golds.
That stuff is DEFINITELY not for me. I look for bright colors and rich-looking distinctive colors like coral, aqua, turqouise, amythist, purple, lime green, electric blue, sunset / russet orange, bright yellow,
candy-apple red, etc....

Styling and application to my needs for that vehicle are always high on the priority list. Then I work on things like wheels, headlights, etc..
Color can be had for almost any car that you like, so I always figure that will come once I decide on the styling and needs.

I voted wheels/tires, because I dont really look at bone stock cars much. The exception on stock cars is color or hi-line cars (M5, M3, Sclass MB, etc etc)
It also funny, I notice EVERY GS that I see now a days, even if its out of the corner of the eye. I'm always sizing them up, color, tailights, model, yadda yadda LOL
I'm a wheel *****, so any modded car, I'm checking out the shoes, it gives the vehicle its personality!

Yup I voted wheels because somehow my eyes just always seem to end up there first. I love wheels too and they make the whole car good or bad so thats why I voted wheels.

It's funny, before I joined ClubLexus I didn't even know what a GS was. Now I check out every single one I see, bone stock or not, and check if its 300 or 400, what generation taillights, what style wheels, etc, etc.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does this now

I always see wheels first then aero. Some others things that catch my attention are exhaust noise and cool guys who turn their stereo so loud that the entire intersection can hear.
