Default Flattered or Insulted???

Browsing import sites, I have seen this a lot lately : Car owners buying GS parts off of eBay and molding them to fit their cars. I've even seen a GM truck with GS headlights. I don't know if I should be flattered or insulted!

It's kind of like the 80's when you would see a Nissan Minitruck with Mercedes emblems < there's a word for it but it's racially offensive>. What do you guys think?

Damn, thats just nasty. It can go both ways but to spend so much money to make it look like a car that its not is just plain stupid.

Good call - it's definately a Honda ... but I'd say that it was probably originally an early 90's Accord ... 1993 or before.

i think its funny that people would even do that. if you want the "look" of a lexus, why not just buy one? seems pointless to me to buy things that aren't made for your car and make them work. if you're not proud of how your car looks, maybe it isn't the car for you.

but... whatever floats your inner tube

That's sure a lot of work. Did he change the front headlamps too? Is that the Vizage sides?
Wait, is it un-badged or de-badged? So what will it be: 300, 400, or 430?

Well, something to keep in mind. Yes the gs400/gs430 is expensive, 60k new loaded. However the car has been out for 6 yrs now, and a 98 or 99 gs400 are going for very low price now, as low as 20k maybe? Not to mention that the gs3 are even cheaper.

What’s the consequence? More people can afford to get the car and mod it, and you read my mind – kids, ricers, stupid people. Honestly it’s just a matter of time (I say about 2 or 3 yrs) before a high school kid can buy a gs with parents’ money and make it the ultimate rice, it’s just reality, nothing we can do about it

Only thing we can do is to keep on doing it the right way and hopefully try to keep up the good work.

flattered as in flat on the floor convulsing in shock and terror... I'd say so.

Why does doing something or anything right seem to be so hard for humanity?

PS: Props for trying, but man...

It's definetly a 4th Gen Accord. I cannot believe the amount of money spent on this car. The rims alone should be worth more than the car.

The amount of money invested into that old Honda = a real GS ('98 perhaps).

In the words of IS 300 owners (as everyone has stolen the Altezza lights) BUY THE WHOLE CAR, NOT JUST THE LIGHTS!!!
