Woogie,

This post doesn't have anything remotely to do with ES330 / 300, so I'm moving it to the car chat forum.

On a more responsive note to your post, the kind of money you talked about can easily push a turbo hatch in to mid / high 12s.... and do the same for a used Z28.

It's all what people want to do and where they want to spend their cash. Why don't you open your mind up and let people do what they want to and enjoy the styles that want. If that makes them happy, let 'em have at it. I don't think anyone asked you or I to judge them, do anything about it, or call them 'white trash'.

i agree, if spending 15K on your civic will make you happy, i dont see any problem with that.

it's all about choices and it's a free country.

i agree. i used to be one of those people like woogie who criticized ANY modded honda, but now if they put time and effort into a car, and it looks at least better than stock, then i give it . how'd you like it if you just dumped 1k on a body kit and etc to have people laugh and criticize it? wouldn't feel good would it. now if they painted their rims to match their car, put on a cheap wing, etc, (same old), then that's a different story.

Uhhh, I know a guy that hits 12s all day with less than 10K invested. Yes he's a DIY guy and did the labor himself, and bought the parts used, but so what? It's still going to be faster than my supercharged GS with 25K aftermarket invested in it. More power to him.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is, it's not your (nor my) place to sit in judgement on what other people like. Closed minded people suck.

I'm not saying you or I have to like it and can express our opinion like you're doing here, but I certainly don't condemn them for making the choices they do. I'm personally with you on making a bunch of mods that don't a) increase the performance of the car and b) make it cosmetically appealing, but what I hate somebody else might like. What's my trash is someone else's treasure.

Heck, I might want to put a fake BOV sound machine on my LS400 and an interfooler . No, I've got more sense than that. But if you like it on your ES, go for it!

Hey man, if they like it that way, then let it be... It's not YOUR money, so don't have to be all strung up about it.... but I do admit, it does get annoying seeing 5 ft. spoilers on Kias. LOL

I don't care what people do as long as they do it right. The only thing that REALLY gets to me is people putting all this non painted aftermarket body parts on there car.

Why not wait until you can afford to have it painted before you put it in?!

Oh woogie...

Bro, try to keep it positive, you new dudes always roll in here spouting off and it get's so tired so quick. The opinions you wish to share have been debated adnauseum, and, do nothing but create senseless arguements that result in absolutely nothing. Nobody gains any insight whatsoever, except for your dislike for other people's cars. Keep it real.

Woogie the thing is they don't know and may not even care. Me, you, and everyone here judge things with thought. Others on the street DON'T care. I mean you seen that show "Pimp My Ride". People really think it's hot. I don't like it, but I'll let them be.
