Oh, and there's a reason why there's a term "pony cars"

Those little 200 hundred something cubic engine wielding cared were all designed for looks not power....It was marketing BS...Watch the muscle car specials on History Channel that are on like every other week...
American Muscle is Chevy Camaro, Chevy Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Olds Cutlass, Buicks, Plymouth Barracuda and Road Runner, Dodge Charger, MOPAR, etc...

Listen, Dude.....I GREW UP with the muscle cars of the 60's. I DROVE them. Don't tell ME there were no Mustang muscle cars in that era.
Shelby GT 350
Shelby GT500
Shelby GT500KR
Mach 1 351
Mach 1 351 Cleveland
Mach 1 390
Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet
Boss 302 Mustang
Boss 429 Mustang
All of these high-performanced Mustangs were fully competitive with GM, AMC, and Mopar muscle and pony-cars.
Obviously there were SOME mustang muscle cars produced but it just feels like the majority of the Mustangs that were produced and driven were not muscle cars. The shelby mustang is so rare. It is like the ZL-1 Camaros or the Hemi-Cudas, if you have one they worth 100+ k...Obviously these cars have large engine bays so tuners could drop in giant engines if they liked...

And not just Fords: some other small-body, big engine cars also had the same problem, including the Dodge Dart 383 of 1968, Chevy Nova SS396 of like vintage, and the Rambler Scrambler with the big AMC 390.
Ok mustangs are cool, but they're everywhere and overpriced, too. At least get something original, for example thie 1966 Chevy biscayne wagon would be SWEET if you fixed it up.
Try to find a '66 Mustang for this price and condition.
