Question Chrysler 300C

My current lease on the GS 430 ends in July. What do you guys think about getting into a short term lease for 24 months in a fully loaded 300C? Since the new GS doesn't come out until March or April I'm kind of stuck. I cannot extend my lease through Chase. Comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I think I am picking up another GS, prob a CPO to get me by until the new one comes out. I would rather take a CPO GS over that........

Gangster styling?.....I think you're confusing the 300C with the PT Cruiser....THAT is the car with the 1930's gangster-type styling.

Now to the original question.....The 300C is a nice car...I've driven it. Smooth, quiet, well-insulated, powerful. Beautiful styling inside (especially on the top-line version), with the tortise-shell finish on the steering wheel, chrome, brushed metal, retro-gauges, and wood paneling. But here is where the car's chief problem is...that beauty inside is only skin-deep. Most of it is cheap flimsy plastic that feels like it is going to come off in your hands, and the doors close and sound like tin cans. Lexus looks but not Lexus quality. But on the other hand, you're not going to get a Lexus 340 HP V8 with cylinder de-activation for less than 40K. (or in your case, similiar lease payments). So I guess it's up to you whether the surface beauty of the Chrysler , the power, and the lower price compared to a Lexus V8 is worth the trade-off of lower overall quality and a glitzy but cheaply made interior.
My opinion?......No, get another GS400.

I think he's referring to current rap stars throwing dubs on the 300, like this one.
IMO it doesn't look bad...

That 300C Technics posted is fabulous!
The 300 begs for big wheels.

People keep bashing Chrysler quality but those issues
are mostly in the past. Models such as the PT, Pacifica,
Crossfire, and the 300C are high quality vehicles. In fact,
the PT Cruiser is one of the most trouble free cars available.

We also shouldn't try to compare a 300's interior to a Lexus
interior. Even a top of the line Cadillac's interior is a far cry from
Lexus and others like Audi and Benz.

Actually, if we compared a $24,000 Chrysler 300's interior to
a $30,000 IS300's interior then it definately wouldn't look that
bad. In fact it looks much more luxurious.

It's a truck motor the 5200rpm redline and cast iron block do little to hide that fact. I wouldnt assume the car is faster than the GS430 from a roll. Actually I would think the GS430 is a tad faster, of course from a dig it would get its doors pulled off.

If youre not planning on keeping it for more than 5yrs, I would strongly consider it. Just know too many hard launches will likely bust the auto tranny.
