I don't find it to be funny

 

I agree it is not funny ....and Ford owes the public an explanation for it.....but it raises another question: Automatic-closing devices like this....power windows, sunroofs, power sliding doors on minivans, etc.....are supposed to have "kiddy-guards" that can detect small fingers, arms, toes, necks, etc.....and automatically reverse when they hit or detect something. Maybe this poor cat's neck and body just didn't meet the detector criteria. Or did they on purpose deactivate the safety sensors for the commercial?

 

I can't believe this even was produced!

Well, in these forums, we usually take each others' word for things if we have no evidence to the contrary. But you're right.......I'm glad if it is only a joke. Almost as much of a joke as Paul Hogan running Subaru Outbacks off of ramps or Ford F-150's being dropped by helicopter and surviving the fall.

 

I fight cats and birds all the time away from my car. i didnt like the cat one, but the bird one was hilarious. IMO

The bird one was funny...although the outcome was the same for both.

 

I’m an animal lover and a cat owner. That being said, after reading this was a commercial and not the real thing I have to admit I found it funny.

And anybody that’s had a freshly cleaned car pooped on can appreciate the bird one.

 

You can add me in that category! There is no disclaimer that the animal wasn't actually hurt.
