Default decision, decision, decision...:o

Yes, I agreed V1 that the ability to show you the direction. I really want to test them both.
It seems to me that the new X50 has improved the range up to 50% more.
Plus the Blue LED really catches my eyes too...

Dude - compared to NOTHING, either a huge leap forward. V1 is a great detector with front/rear/side detection, but even my old 7500 is a huge leap over nothing. It too has saved me thousands.

Default Mmm...

Thanks for the offer to rominl. If you don't mind, I would do that.
I know most people said V1 is much much much better than 8500.
but.... me....
Doesn't the 8500 one also detect the rear too?? Or only the V1??

the 8500 does have detector on the front and back so it will detect the rear too, but i don't think it has the arrow like the v1

sure thing man, just buy both, try, and i will give you my addy to send you "unlike" one

If you're in VA or DC, just turn the thing off, stay within 5-10 MPH of the posted limit, and you probably won't have any problems or get pulled over for speeding. In VA, 20 MPH or more over the posted limit is an additional reckless driving charge...in addition to speeding.

In fact, large parts of VA, like Southern CA, are so congested that it is difficult to speed in the first place.

I will never buy another radar detector until someone designs one that will notify me when there is a black and white patrol car/bike around me and they do not need to have any equipment on.
They do have these, they detect the walkie talkies that the officers wear on their shirts which are always on.

I doubt a Rear detector would work in my RX300 since it has factory metal tint in the rear.
