Acura must have dropped the RSX's price ....I have not heard of them in the low 20' s. But I'll take your word for it, though.....since it is being marketed essentially to the former Integra crowd, not exactly millionaires.

Part of my buisness is the auto market, and I agree that the TC looks like a bargain and will probably outsell the RSX.....especially with the simple no-haggle Saturn-style pricing and the wide range of factory options and accessories. with the 160 HP engine it will be a good competitor to the Civic Si.

(You're correct...I forgot that the TC had a lot more engine than the Tercel / Paseo. Thanks)
Maybe you have seen the Avensis, but if not here is a link:

I do not know what RSX pricing was like when it first came out, but here are the 2004 prices from Acura's website (not including destination charge of about $500):

2004 RSX - 5 Speed Manual Starts at $20,025

2004 RSX - 5 Speed Automatic Starts at $20,925

2004 RSX - 5 Speed Manual with Leather Starts at $21,100

2004 RSX - 5 Speed Automatic with Leather Starts at $22,000

2004 RSX Type-S - 6 Speed Manual with Leather Starts at $23,320

I know insurance on the Type-S is killer, I wonder what it will be like on the base...

No it wouldn't change my mind only because I could care less about RWD and a V8, now obviously I'm speaking from a women's point of view, that of my own, not to say that those two items dosen't mean anything to other females here. For me as long as I have good HP to get out of the way or get on the freeway and good grip in the rainy season I don't care. Luxury to me is all about quality and amenities and good looks (although I'll agree my LS is a tad boring). I guess to satisfy American excess though Acura would need to do a RWD 400HP V8 priced at 70K. I don't think they need to do any such thing but work their nich, maybe if more car company's did that we wouldn't have so many clones on the streets. Yes in an ideal automotive world where profit margins didn't mean much. Who said they NEED to compete with Lexus anyway.
