Default Need suggestions on my next mod.

I am a member at a BMW forum also, but you guy's know how forums are. Everyone follows popular opinion on the forum. I wanted to conduct a little experiment and see what you guy's thought i should do next so i could get a non biased opinion.

I just added the M-17 wheels (again) and this pic was taken a few hours ago.

My vote goes for exhaust.

If not that, then a roof spoiler.

Just looking at the pic, I think clear sidemarker lenses would look nice on your ride. I don't know too much about BMW mods, but my philosophy is that anything is possible and obtainable

If you don't want to spend too much money, you really need to build or buy a heat shield (you can order one from wither AA or ECIS) on your intake. Otherwise, you're simply losing hp with a full open intake on the E36.

You might want to consider a chip that's fully caliberated to your engine spec. as well. I would opt for chips made by AA, J. Conforti, or Dinan, depending on your preferences.

There are many more (pleanty of) things you can do to your E36. Off the top of my head, you can replace your exteriror mirrors, cover up your rocker panels with some nice sideskirts, get some M3 door mouldings, replace your plastic headlights with european projection headlights (possibly with HIDs, and DDEs), do the M3 brake upgrade, get a pulley kit from either UR or Rogue Engineering, replace your stock seats with the M3 vader seats, or heck, just do a full blown stereo upgrade.

jon you don't count, you are "one of them" LOL

seriously, i have a chip, and i have the big brakes. i'm not buying skirts since they will come with my kit. mirrors are a good idea. i don't like the big mouldings, i think the slim ones are fine. pulley's are worthless at this point, it's as fast as i need it to be.

I didn't mention stereo because it doesnt relate to the body, but it already has alpine all around and a gs redline 12.

so, mirrors seem like a good idea i've been looking at a few sets but nothing i like yet.

I guess I should try reading before opening my mouth huh?

Anyway, I really can't think of anything else unless you decided to do some FI but I know you said it had all the power you needed. Why not try working on the SC a bit?

I think the M3 mirrors or ACS mirrors would look perfect on your car.

There's a few things I can think of:

Angel Eyes

Clear side markers

Eyelids

Chrome exhaust tips (a must!) You might also consider titanium exhaust tips (BMW dealership sells both).

Side View mirrors. The ACS ones will be sweet, but if you ever pick up those UK BMW magazines, they have some real variety in the way of side view mirrors. Lemme know if you need names of the mags.

CF the blue in your roundels. I've already posted pics of how this looks on this board. Lemme know if you need a link. On a silver car it will look smooth!

Roof spoiler.

Alternative to the wing would be the E46 //M3 lip spoiler. There is an E36 version available.

Let's have a look at your front bumper. Would you consider changing both it and your rear bumper?

Oh, you could also:

Blacken-out your kidney grill

Xenon headlights (if you don't already have them)

Xenon fogs

Strobes (so that after you toast someone you can give them a little light show!)

I hate this, because I know I am gonna send this post and I will think of more stuff and have to make another post!

the exhaust was dirty because i drug it coming into the yard..lol. it is not noticeable when clean, it's solid black. I understand chrome may be pretty, but i am not chroming a factory m exhaust, and i'm not changing it because i wanted that "sound" plus the catless M piping was a plus.

I have eyelids..... siting in my spare room on the floor, i didnt like them. but i'll include a pic of them anyway.
the front bumper will come with my kit. i already changed the bumper once, it had the older front end, and i went to the 95 and up widemouth factory front end. So that has been changed once already, but it will change again with my kit.

chrome is good, no blacking the kidney's. see, i like a bright car. I don't want to dumb it down. that's why i like the chrome. just so you can get on my level of thinking. I don't want to do anything that takes the bright, noticeable aspect of the car away.

Angel eyes- as soon as the body is right, they will be added. i have seeing stock looking cars with a headlight kit and they think they are modded.

chrome exhaust tips- good idea. if i can find one's that appeal to me.

CF- not a single strand on my car, ever.

Roof spoiler- i have debated this.... and still am. it would stick out a lot on a silver car and i am not sure if thats a good thing or not.

One thing to remember is on a silver car you can see EVERYTHING so i have to add and take away in an orderly and clean pattern. if i get too much silver it will be bland, too much add on's and it will be cluttered. Silver is a very delicate vehicle to mod, because it shows everything, the lins are clearly defined. even on my bumper trim i cna see the lines, whereas on other colors they don't stand out.
