Default A wrecked Enzo for $250,000

Saw somebody posted this on the other forum. The story is that a teenage son took out dad's ENZO in the rain, lost control and wrecked the car. The wrecked car is now selling on ebay

You will someday.

Just look at Jimmy540. He's sold enough "xenon" light bulbs to get himself a Ferrari 360 today.

Marketing strategy really works.

Wrecked, but still very desirable for someone who wasn't a previous Ferarri owner but REALLY wants one. New buyers (also previous Ferarri owners of specific models) of this vehicle had to be invited by Ferarri to buy them.

I feel sorry for the kid and the car. Very ugly in both situations.

Read the Fine print.

250,000 to BROKER the deal, meaning you have to pay for the car on top of that.

Read the Fine print.
Exactly that 250k is just to broker the deal!

$1.3 million, huh? Some people sure have it easy with the millions! Then, they take works of art or fine engineering and destroy them.

This whole thing is bizzare. Why pay such a fee just for brokering alone? Give 10K to a Ferrari rep to arrange things and another $200K could be enough to send it to Maranello, fix it and return it. Round trip container from anywhere in the US to Europe is $8K max.

The insurance company paid $1.3 million...does this mean, it would've cost over 50% to fix ($650,000), hence the salvaged title??

Could u imagine the punishment the kid would get if the father was that much in love with teh car. If i was the father, i couldn't even know where to start inorder to punish him. all i can say is that, the kid better have a dad that isn't too materialistic.

On Feb-13-04 at 12:11:08 PST, seller added the following information:

Your final bid is NOT a brokerage fee. Your final bid is your offer for this vehicle.

Its for the car...

If I was a parent I would care but I really would not be for a couple reasons. One the insurance company paid him for the car. Two, if my child was still alive then thats all that matters. You know what, move two to one. If I was able to afford an Enzo the first time I will the next time something like this is offered. A child, irreplacable!!!
