... some people like the styling of the IS300, prefer RWD, and, generally, people see Lexus as a more well respected manufacturer. I'm not saying the new Legacy is not a good car, it is just that numbers are not everything. BUT, it is a very enjoyable car(3.0 and 2.5t) to drive in GT4:Prologue

The new Legacy GT looks to be a very promising car. I think (and hope) that it will bring some excellent competition into this class.

The IS300 should not be ruled out, however. Some people still enjoy RWD, while others may prefer the overall styling of the IS300. Reliability also comes into play, and while the Legacy isn't necessarily unreliable, there are people who know that Toyota has a proven reputation for reliability, and because of this will go with the Lexus.

Not to mention those who just want pure 2JZ-GE tunability....

I hope the Legacy GT suceeds, as I would like to see this model continued in the years to come. And if they decide to produce a US-Spec STi version...

Cuz Subaru doesn't sell the Liberty/Legacy B4 in Australia anymore (in this current shape anyway)... and as bluepiz stated some people like RWD and the styling of the IS

The styling is sharp and the AWD is nice.

I would like to see this introduced sometime soon to add some vigor into the car class.

I really like it. I didn't give Subaru any respect until the two door 2.5RS came out. That car looked great to me and I still realy like it, bu tnow with the Legacy GT I think they will make a move on the luxury sport level that the TSX and a few other cars are on. The spec B, (while only availabl in Japan) has a 2 liter turbo flat four making 276 hp and 253 tq. With AWD it can get to 60 in just 6.3 seconds. It is sub $30K and the new interior is looking very nice to me with navigation, five speed manual or auto and what looks to be (from the mag in front of me) HIDs. US only gets 2.5 and 3.0L N/A engines, with a possible detuned STi 2.5T later on. Looks good to me too! Love the new body.

This is the American B4, called Legacy GT, with 2.5T engine, producing 250hp. Should be at the dealers this summer.
If you take the Forester XT which did 0-60 in 5.3 sec (C&D) with its 2.5T, 210hp engine, this Legacy should be fast.

Beautiful car inside and out, I love it. Seems every car has dual exhausts now.

the new Legacy looks very nice, and will be a crazy performer. Its ad says: "Faster than 350Z, 330ci, RX8, etc." It's amazing to see a 4 door sedan without rally heritage (ahem WRX and Evo) to be able to do this, especially when everyone puts the Legacy in the same class as Camrys and Accords.

I would personally buy the Legacy turbo over the IS300, unless I plan on doing 3S-GE + turbo in the first place.

Yes! This is a GREAT looking car and appears to be a HUGE 'bang4thebuck' ride. When exactly is it supposed to hit our shores........?
