The 2005 Cadillac Seville STS will debut at the New York Auto Show in April and is expected to hit the market during the third quarter of 2004.
The all-new vehicle highlights Cadillac's signature exterior styling. An all-new interior incorporates genuine materials: eucalyptus wood, Nuance leather and aluminum accents. Engine options include the the 3.6L V6 VVT or 4.6L Northstar V8. The STS will also offer a rear-wheel or an all-wheel drivetrain.
The STS will be the third Sigma architecture vehicle built at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. The CTS entry luxury sedan and the SRX luxury performance utility are currently in production at the facility.

If they don't cheap out on the interior (i.e. putting wood only on the door handles and cup holder like the $76K XLR), and don't overprice it (like the XLR or SRX), this car could be a real winner. Outside styling is nice, and the powertrains sound good (RWD, AWD, choice of V6, V8). If it's priced competitively (like the CTS is in the entry-lux class), this could be a winner. And an STS-V could be an absolute monster, especially if they decide to give it more than 400HP to differentiate it from the CTS-V.

I think Cadillac is definitely heading in the right direction. They aren't quite there in terms of quality and interior, but the awesome powertrain offerings of the V series should be enough incentive to draw a few sports-minded import buyers over to the "dark side"
IMO the CTS-V is the best lux-sport sedan value in it's class.
