Cars getting old.
OK here is my question.
When cars get old in age and or high in miles do they start to loose performance.
e.g. if a car runs a 13 sec 1/4 mile new will that turn into a 15 sec 1/4 in 10 years,
will 250hp turn to 220 after 150000 miles?
I am not sure on this.
My 92SC400 runs like a charm is very quiet BUT it seems slow to me maybe I am just expecting too much, it also has 200000 miles on it.
Anyway do they die when they get old ?

I really dont think so, IF they are mechanically up to snuff, up to and including spark, timing, compression, etc etc.
If you ever read Car and Driver when they do the 40,000 mile tests, alot of the cars are FASTER at the end of the test!!
I know someone with a SC that has some miles(110k maybe) under the belt, and it still moves out like a champ

Thanks a lot D,
I am starting to think my cats are done. I took a good look at my maintenance history tonight and in 210000miles they were never changed, it just seems like something is holding the car back.
