Default Audi RS6 or keep my GS

I am looking at getting a bigger vehicle. I love my GS, but I am doing more things that require me to carry a little more than what my GS can carry. I have looked at the RS6 and am very impressed with it. I have looked at the RS4 (only in europe) and have found only rave reviews. here is a link to the RS6, tell me what ya think.

450 hp/415 ft/lb torque is not something to mess with.

Get the sedan...only about 1K made for US consumption...and costs 88K! 450HP Bi-Turbo V8....I would love to get into one of those...but a wagon? Not for me...

If you want more space buy a used explorer and keep the GS and save yourself 80K.

I'd get the wagon. Rare as rare can get.

Good one KVA, used explorer!!

i would wait a few months until they start popping up used. Audi's have hideous resale values (which would be a good thing for you)

I really like those cars, nice looks, jaw dropping power, nice interior!!

Dont know about the reliability though

RS6 is in the same league as M5. I love to own one. If you do not plan to keep the Audi for more than 3 years and you have that kind of budget, i'd say go for it. Imagine an Audi wagon leave M5's in the dust

Dude, if you can afford to even consider an RS6 (sedan or wagon), you shouldn't even be comparing that supercar with the likes of your GS.

At that price range, you should be considering a porsche, M5, Cayenne turbo, E55 AMG (or all the other 55s that AMG makes for Benzito)....then we will be comparing apples to apples.

But man, purely for the fact that it's an biturbo V8 and a wagon, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid and get one immediately!

As DGOT20s pointed out, you may take it in the shorts on depreciation, but jeez!!!! What a whip!! Talk about iron fist in a velvet glove...............I'd do it. My wife, OTOH, is not quite so understanding, so you'll be the only CL member who has one if you do.

Man get the Chrysler SRT 8 300C. It has 450 hp supercharged V-8, and all the suspension is Benz. I am thinking about getting that or the SRT 6 convertible crossfire with the 330 hp+ engine. Oh yeah Chryslers upgraded models are not built by the PPO division. Their built by AMG The crossfire has the same engine as the SLK32 just 19 less hp.

Wait, let me get this straight: you are comparing an Audi to a Chrysler?

jtanoyo1 mentioned the E55 as an alternative to the RS6...I would definitely opt for the former rather than the latter - reason being, you get more "bang for the buck" with the Benzo. That's just my opinion though.

For those of you who are interested. Here's an article from Motor Trend with the RS6 and the E55 going head to head.
