Camper time, been there and done that?
After 45 years of family camping, we finally sold our last 32' motorhome earlier this year. My parents can no longer handle the physical work of packing, unpacking, and setting up camp (they are in their 80's). I work full time and cannot be there to help, as I wish I could. A long tradition came to an end, and it was a very hard decision to give it up. Being as one with nature, resetting the mind and body, the campfires, cooking, learning about history, the scenery, the wildlife, the ocean, rocks, waterfalls, hiking, biking, swimming, making new friends from around the country, and the cars, trucks, and trains seen along the way. It's great if you get it. When I retire, the first thing I'm doing is getting a new rv and going camping for a long time.
I’ve slept outside on military cots with mosquito netting at race tracks before I got my enclosed trailer.
Now I sleep comfortably inside my enclosed trailer at race tracks. Feels like camping.
