I used to just go with OEM, then switched and got used to iMap. Recently iMap often gets stuck on HUD so I switched to Google Map. The only complaint I have now is no "touch and go."
First party, because it tends to integrate better with the onboard systems. So Google Maps if you're using Android Auto, Apple Maps if you're using CarPlay. Either shows up in the HUD on our cars, where other options like Google Maps on Apple or Waze on anything do not.
Google maps is great, while you have cel signal, in remote areas it's pretty useless. You can download maps, but it doesn't show you what's downloaded.
I use OsmAnd when riding to remote areas, I downloaded maps of the states I go to, and all it needs is GPS signal, the map is much more detailed, and allows unlimited check points.
I moved to google maps. I might also run wave for better cop policing as @tex2670 stated lol
like 99% of the time waze tells you when there was a cop like 30 min ago but almost never gets it right in real time... the V1 detector is still my go to

I've never used AA. My iMap always shows up on HUD but recently started freezing. It's fine on main display but sometimes once you make first turn, it's stuck there on the HUD.

I heard the same and used Waze at some point but somehow stopped. Must be the cartoonish interface that I didn't like. iMap and Google Map seem to do well with cop policing. I do notice Google Map alerts you a little too late. Lol.

Yeah, I still like and use my 12 year old Garmin GPS.
I use it when traveling and also use Wayze too.
Well at least you are not still printing directions off MapQuest. Speaking of it... anyone tried? I heard a commercial on radio so I got excited and installed. This thing sucks. And you have to have it actively running on your phone. So disappointed.

It used to not work with BMW's HUD. I'm glad it works now. One nice thing I noticed is when you have something else on the main display, it will still pop up to alert you next change.
