Post Brand New Purchase Customization Variables

Good day all.
I am not the greatest on matching english with search bars to obtain results I seek, so I apologize if this is a topic I am failing to find.

-First question is how customized/personalized/made unique to the buyer can and do vehicles get?

-Second question is where does/did the LS, specifically an 08, rank among the rest of brands per unique to buyer?

I have never had the income to afford new. I am aware that the top of the money tier is much likelier to offer more unique/personalized due to price and far less units made. I bought my 08 in 2024. Came with zero manuals. Some time within the past year I came across an original buyers guide on ebay, and bought out of curiosity and to satisfy the nerd in me. Collector's item, even though most paper/books/physical copy stuff is going where ever the dinosaurs ran off to.

Any and or all feedback greatly appreciated.
Happy automobiling.

Lexus has never been one for allowing customization, so LSs were not custom ordered really at all. They came in various option packages and color combinations and most buyers bought from already built inventory on the ground at dealerships.

Different brands embrace custom orders more, BMW, Porsche allow for a large degree of customization, Mercedes less so...but Lexus allows for the least.

@SW17LS is correct the LS has packages dealers order and some combinations more than others. Some combinations are rarer and highly sought after like the full executive packages.

The LS forum has a ton of great people and tons of info.

Thank you, to both of you, for your answers. I was curious about my 08, like I said, and now thinking about it, I would imagine my bought used, former vehicle, 2013 Dodge Challenger SXT Rallye Redline would have fallen semi into that category. SXT would have been base buy, the redline add on would have been mostly, if not exclusively cosmetic. Hellcats and wide body, etc, would have had more options/mods per manufacturer/brand. However that all works out. Like adding Shelby or King of the Road gear and visuals to a Mustang...
