Next Gen Lightning will be EREV - 700 mile range
this should be called the Rube Goldberg Edition.
LOLOL @ video… so a pentastar 3.6 v6 engine that only works as a generator and a 92 kwh battery a load of which can’t ‘normally’ be used, and if the battery is used up you’ll be towing with 174hp - sounds great. i guarantee almost no owners will have ANY idea how it all works, lol. and i bet it will take 5 years after launch for all the major bugs in that power train to be worked out. finally, i bet many of those on dealer lots will be $100k or more.

Looks like Dodge got it right. For those who use a truck for work and towing, it exploits the positives of electric motor and convenience of gas engine. Curiously... it was reported that Dodge isn't offering a fifth wheel/gooseneck option.

Powertrain makes a lot of sense for a truck. Curious about engine RPM as it relates to cab noise when charging while at a stoplight or driving slowly.
