Default Another GM EV...

There's a huge blowout going on with GM products where you can essentially quadruple dip.on rebates, combined with a sort of shady corporate car loophole enable you to save $25k+ on some vehicles. Well one of those vehicles is the venerable Hummer EV, the original member of BT1 EV platform that also produce the Chevy Silverado EV / GMC Denali EV twins, as well as the big Caddy IQ.

I took advantage of this blowout and got myself a Hummer 2X EV SUV (did want the 3X, but not at double the lease rate).Impressions so far :

TL;DR Extremely American in every way : Looks, off-road ability, EV tech....

Good : Absurd 9k lb capable off roader; gets more stares than any other EV I have owned

Bad : EV range for 200+ kw battery pack is horrible, though the 350kw capable charging sort of makes up for it

Ugly : the infotainment lag is odd, given the Chevy rst is so seamless

I have lots of plans for it, so stay tuned!

Nice! I was charging next to one earlier in the year and could not get over how wide of a vehicle it is. Are you noticing any wind noise from the roof panels? That was one of the main fit/finish complaints that my neighbor has.

No wind noise but interior is a lot louder than my RST. The 2 seems almost polar opposites strangely enough, with the RST being the better DD, and the Hummer more of a weekend toy...

Congrats!

Did they add the 7500 credit to the rv or are they finally including it on the stated rv?

GM does this weird thing where they don't take off the rebates from the capitalized costs, instead adds to the projected residual value instead. The delta in payment is the same, but it's just very unconventional.

Just curious how much more would the 3X lease payment be since it is only $8k more in price or are the incentives not there for the 3X?

Amazing how many cars you have now.

Around 50% more...dealers seem to be willing to discount more on 2x..

I paused on cars last few years. Making up for it this year 😅

Thanks! It is priced higher than the CT, but has more discounts and better lease rates.
