KIA AMERICA POSTS HIGHEST MONTHLY SALES IN COMPANY HISTORY

- Year to date total sales are up 8.6 percent, driven by a 10.3 percent increase in sales at Kia dealerships
- EV9 and Sportage achieved best-ever monthly sales
Notably, the Kia EV9 achieved sales of 2,679 units in August, marking a 54 percent increase compared to the previous month. The EV6 and Niro EV also posted month-over-month growth of 39 percent and 57 percent, respectively, extending Kia’s streak of strong EV sales for the 4th consecutive month.
Key models including Carnival (+29 percent); Telluride (+19 percent); Sportage (+19 percent); K5 (+13 percent); and EV9 (+12 percent), each posted significant sales increases over the same period last year. The EV9 and Sportage achieved best-ever performances, helping drive Kia’s SUVs to their highest-ever monthly sales.
“Kia delivered another sales milestone by recording more than 83,000 sales in a single month – our best-ever monthly sales result – keeping us firmly on track to achieve our third consecutive annual sales record and our highest ever market share,” said Eric Watson, vice-president, sales operations, Kia America. “Sales of Kia’s sedans, SUVs and electrified models are generating double-digit growth, and coupled with Kia’s 10 percent increase in retail sales, these are clear indicators of the strength of the Kia brand and how our diverse product offerings continue to meet customer needs.”
In addition to the monthly sales performance, Kia America also made additional announcements, including:
- 2025 all-electric Kia EV9 has received top honors in the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study as with the Mass Market award winner for “One-Pedal Driving” in the Electric Vehicle (EV) advanced technology category, highlighting Kia’s commitment to innovation and excellence in EV technology.
- Earlier this month, Kia hosted more than 30 automotive and lifestyle journalists in Louisville, KY, for testing the updated 2026 Kia Sportage compact SUV in and around the birthplace of Muhammad Ali. With extensive enhancements in design, innovation, technology and convenience – and as Kia’s longest running nameplate – the Sportage model range underwent significant changes since the 5th-generation model launched more than three years ago. The media drive experience in and around Louisville was focused on the efficient yet powerful Turbo Hybrid model.
- The 2025 Carnival MPV and 2025 Telluride SUV each received 2025 Winter Vehicle Awards from the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA). This is the fourth time Telluride has won a Winter Vehicle Award from the automotive media group, including three class wins for midsize SUV (2021, 2024, 2025) and an overall win for Winter SUV of the Year in 2020. This is the first class win in the minivan category for the Carnival.

Balanced Product Lineup Drives American Honda to Strong August Sales Results
September 3, 2025- American Honda sales totaled 132,734 units in August (+4.4% YTD), with record sales of electrified models (44,465), record sales of all-new products and strong performance across the board of light trucks and passenger cars. The year-over-year sales comparison is impacted by higher than usual August 2024 sales that resulted from the recovery of a major ransomware attack on a dealer software provider that pushed June and July sales into August 2024.
- Honda brand totaled 121,633 in August, maintaining strong momentum, up 4.6% YTD, with strong sales across the lineup, including passenger cars, light trucks and electrified models.
- Honda set an all-time August record for sales of electrified vehicles with 43,945 units (36% of brand sales), including sales of CR-V, Accord and Civic hybrid models – including record August sales for Civic hybrid - and best-ever monthly sales for the all-electric Prologue SUV (9,347 units) as buyers rush to complete sales ahead of the IRA incentive expiration.
- Led by record August sales of the all-new Passport, Honda light truck sales posted a 7th straight month over 70,000 units.
- All-new Passport had record August sales (5,173), up 82.9% YoY.
- CR-V again led all Honda models in August sales (34,123 units), with hybrids representing over 55% of sales.
- HR-V (13,663), Pilot (10,791), Ridgeline (4,555) and Odyssey (6,690) all posted strong August sales.
- Honda passenger car sales topped 37,000 units, led by Civic with 21,596 units, with Civic hybrid accounting for over 37% of model sales; and Accord sales of 15,695 units, with hybrid models achieving almost 50% of model sales
- Acura brand sales totaled 11,101 units in August, maintaining solid momentum with 2025 sales up 2.7% year to date.
- The gateway segment duo of Integra and ADX posted combined sales of 4,313 units, making Acura the destination of choice for young premium customers.
- Acura SUV sales posted sales over 8,000 units, with SUV sales up 10.7% YTD
- All-new ADX, the brand’s new gateway SUV, set a new monthly record of 2,568 units in August, capturing a segment-leading 20% share of the premium compact crossover segment.
- MDX sales topped 3,000 units in August and RDX posted August sales of 2,232 units as inventory began to recover from factory retooling.
- All-electric ZDX totaled 520 units in August, with sales suppressed by low inventory as the brand completes model year sell-down in preparation for the 4th quarter arrival of the 2026 ZDX.

SUBARU OF AMERICA REPORTS STRONG MONTH OF SALES WITH 2nd CONSECUTIVE AUGUST OF MORE THAN 60,000 VEHICLES SOLD

Crosstrek achieved its best month of all time with 20,442 vehicles sold (surpassing the record of 20,396 set in August 2024) and maintained its position as the top seller for the 4th month in a row. Outback sales followed with 15,768 vehicles sold, and Forester sold 14,225 vehicles, up 5.7 percent over the previous year. Both Solterra and Legacy also saw positive sales growth over August 2024, with Solterra achieving its best August ever.

CPO sales totaled 7,212 vehicles in August, a decrease of 4 percent compared to August 2024. Year-to-date sales totaled 50,550; a decrease of 1 percent compared to the same time last year.
Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported August sales of 7,927 vehicles; a decrease of 6 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 67,639 vehicles sold; an increase of 10 percent compared to the same time last year.
