Hyundai Motor America Reports Record-Breaking July 2025 Sales

Hyundai retail sales rose 18% to 73,064 units compared to July 2024. Retail sales of electrified vehicles represented 32% of the retail sales mix, with IONIQ 5 retail sales increasing 71%. Retail sales for the Santa Fe family (+54%) and Palisade (+59%) also climbed. This was also the best-ever month in retail sales for Santa Fe HEV (152%).
“Hyundai delivered an outstanding July, setting an all-time July total sales record with 79,543 units, up 15% year-over-year,” said Randy Parker, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America. “We achieved new records across multiple nameplates, including Elantra HEV, Elantra N, Santa Fe HEV, Palisade, IONIQ 5, and the Santa Fe family, while electrified vehicle sales surged 50% compared to last year. Retail sales climbed 18%, highlighted by strong demand for Santa Fe and Palisade, and a 71% jump in IONIQ 5 retail sales. These results reflect Hyundai’s momentum in sustainable mobility and our ability to deliver an innovative lineup that continues to resonate with customers.”

The newly launched 2026 EV9 recorded strong performance in July with 1,737 units sold – marking a 90 percent increase compared to the previous month. Other electric models such as the EV6 and Niro EV also maintained strong momentum, driving growth across Kia’s entire electrified lineup.
Notably, key models including Soul (+36 percent); Carnival (+30 percent); K5 (+25 percent); Telluride (+15 percent); Sportage (+14 percent) and Sorento (+11 percent) saw double-digit sales increases over July 2024 – with Carnival, Sportage, and Telluride achieving their best-ever July sales performances.

American Honda Sets Records for Light Truck and Electrified Sales in Strong July Results
August 1, 2025- American Honda sales totaled 121,017 units in July, with record sales of light trucks (86,700) and electrified models (38,715) supported by the success of all-new products for the Honda and Acura brands
- Honda brand sales totaled 110,927 in July (up 6.2% in 2025), maintaining strong momentum with passenger cars, light trucks and electrified models posting strong sales across the lineup
- Led by record July sales of the all-new Passport, Honda light truck July sales posted a record July and 6th straight month over 70,000 units (up 12.7% YTD)
- CR-V again led all Honda models in July sales (32,268 units), with CR-V hybrid over 54% of sales mix
- All-new Passport had record July sales (4,762), up 86.5% YoY, with TrailSport models at about 3/4 of mix
- HR-V (11,715), Pilot (9,910), Ridgeline (4,999) and Odyssey (8,821) all posted strong July sales, with Ridgeline scoring its best July ever and Odyssey up 27.4% for the year
- Prologue posted record July sales of 6,318 units (up 82.7% YoY)
- Honda passenger car sales again topped 30,000 units, led by Civic with 19,044 units and Civic hybrid posting a best-ever 41% of model mix

- Acura brand sales totaled 10,090 units in July, maintaining the brand's strong performance in 2025 with sales up 4.4% year to date

Mazda Reports July ResultsIRVINE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total July sales of 45,057 vehicles; an increase of 13 percent compared to July 2024. Year-to-date sales totaled 255,355 vehicles sold; an increase of 5.4 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in July, compared to 25 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 8.7 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.
CPO sales totaled 6,268 vehicles in July, a decrease of 6 percent compared to July 2024. Year-to-date sales totaled 43,337; which is level compared to the same time last year.

Crosstrek maintained its position as the top seller for the 3rd month in a row and achieved its best July ever with 17,628 vehicles sold, a 15.1 percent increase over the same month in 2024. Outback sales followed close behind with 14,982 vehicles sold, up 5.5 percent over July 2024, and Forester was up 11.3 percent over the previous year, with 11,886 vehicles sold. Both Solterra and Legacy also saw positive sales growth, with Solterra reaching its best month ever, up 23.9 percent over July 2024. SOA also reported year-to-date sales of 375,810, a 0.5 percent increase compared with the same period in 2024.
