Is black chrome easier to fix than regular chrome? I’ve been curious about this but don’t have black chrome wheels myself. My wheel repair shop can fix bends but can’t re-chrome wheels. I’ve seen some chrome-like finishes from powder coating shops though.

If it is like the "Hyper black" or "hyper silver" finish Infiniti used on the G37 wheels for a bit, its not actually chrome, its a multi layer paint/powdercoat process that gives the shiny-ish look of chrome. Its really nice, but last I checked a royal PITA to refinish.
The Hyper silver I have on my G37 wheels was banned in the US because of lead content within the necessary products. Car was built in Japan, but I can never have them "factory" refinished here in the US. I think Duplicolor makes a multi-step coating that mimicks it, but doesn't come out nearly as nice.
That's what I was afraid of.
This means it no longer has the factory finish.
How long will it look good?
I don't know.
Sounds crazy but may be better off buying a new wheel? Check out Facebook marketplace to see if anyone is selling OEM wheels (long shot, I dont think the ES350 gets modded very often )
you sure it's chrome? or painted? chrome will need to be fully repaired, painted can be spot repaired in the right hands. the best way to repair this is to get a new wheel, but it's not the cheapest.

I had some wheel rash on the wheels on my IS 350, which were dark chrome, due to my tire shop dropping the wheel. They offered to get it refinished, but it didn't turn out too well. Read all about it: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...me-wheels.html
... Not acceptable, especially on a car that was pretty new and spotless at the time.
They ended up replacing the wheel outright when I showed them how this turned out. (That's good customer service!)
The mirror-like finish just isn't replicable with paint.
