First thread so hope I'm doing this well, I'm looking to buy a newer Lexus. Coming from a 2009 IS 250 AWD, it has treated me well. Currently at 250000km (155000 miles for my American friends). I'm looking to keep her for the canadian winter, also the car insurance will be less expensive having 2 cars under my name. Ive been interested in getting a Lexus IS F, IS 350 (any year), or a IS 500. I work for Lexus so maintenance is really not an issue but I would like to have feedback from some owners of these cars mentioned above. I am in no rush to buy one but if the opportunity presents itself I would absolutely pull the trigger. Happy Father's Day gentlemen.

I've had an IS250, IS350 AWD, and now have the IS500. I guess all depends what you're really after here. I think a good compromise among all is the IS350 AWD with decent power, very easy daily driveability, winter friendly, etc, although you say you will keep the 250 for winter driving. The IS500 is more muscle car like, bit more cumbersome to drive in heavy traffic, congested streets (I found the 350 was easier in that regard - it was more of all scenario type vehicle if that makes sense). The IS-F is most sports tuned (firmer suspension, better brakes, etc.) of all of them, which you may or may not like. You may also have trouble finding one, and have to hope previous owners took good care of it. At end of the day, all depends what you're really after here.
A couple years back I went shopping for a sedan and found a ‘15 GS350 F Sport that still hasn’t passed 58,000 miles. All I’ve done is buy a set of tires for it. The stereo is great and so is the comfort. I really like the 8 speed auto and the spirited V6 with a tad over 300 ponies. Handles very well. Mileage ranges between 22-27 mpg and I have a heavy foot. Good luck in the hunt.
I'd also consider the Genesis G70....IMHO a good competitor to the Lexus IS. I was generally impressed with the one I test-drove and sampled several years ago, although the back seat is rather tight....which is also a problem with some IS versions.
I owned a First-Generation 2001 IS300 for some five years.....which, also IMHO, was better-built, with better materials, than later versions, although it was not without some flaws.
